Duncaster
Duncaster was a small mining town located between Nokkville and the City of Corgath, about half a day's travel south, out of the way of the main road to and from.
It was a poorer town, with simple houses. Buildings were primarily wood, and some of the nicer buildings had stone bases and plaster siding. The inhabitants were mostly young men trying to strike a fortune, and there were far fewer women and children.
The town mined Chimera Crystals, which had the potential to make the mine very profitable. The town was founded in 274 DHT, when this was a newly discovered deposit.

As the heroes came down the road, they saw the sprawl of Duncaster before them. Among the rocky red crags was a settlement of haphazardly assembled wooden buildings--some seeming more like shacks more than proper houses. Most buildings were so close together that their crudely constructed walls may as well have been one. It felt to Theo like this town was put up as quickly as possible--seems like chimera took priority over housing here.
The town's rickety tavern, The Headlamp, was the default watering hole for mining men who needed a drink. The owner-operator was a round and cheerful man named Eric Dunsworth. His red hair and bushy beard always greeted patrons with a smile and a nod.
The town was supplied by the Duncaster General Store, which sold the typical goods a miner would need. Here, Firen purchased a harmonica for his younger sister Crystal.
In 275 DHT, Mayor Watson Roch ruled the town of Duncaster; much to the dissatisfaction of the miners. The mayor often went by Mayor Roch, but miners either called him Roch or, behind his back, Crotch. He was a smarmy man, wearing suits and fine clothes despite the dusty and dirty atmosphere of the town. In the mine's early days, when Duncaster had a dispute with local Naga who called the sub-surface home, halting mining activities and injuring miners, Mayor Roch's slow and cheap methods of conflict resolution brought more harm than good.
